Safeguarding Supervision
Sarah has over two decades of experience working across multi-disciplinary sectors, all the while placing the lived experience and agency of children at the centre of safeguarding.
Independent Safeguarding Supervision creates and maintains a safe place to reflect and explore professional development; supports knowledge and critical analysis skills; and enables confident and competent independent decision making. Sarah has particular safeguarding supervision expertise in the areas of development of safer cultures, safeguarding organisational development, and strategic safeguarding.
Sarah facilitates supervisions for a range of professionals who are responsible for safeguarding in their organisations, such as Heads of Service, Directors, Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputies, as well as frontline practitioners.
Supervision sessions can take place in person if based in the north-west of England, or alternatively can be held virtually.

Sarah’s expertise as a consultant is wide-ranging in environments where children's social care meets technology. She specialises in advising on digital safeguarding strategies, and technical reporting pathways across organisational departments and in multi-agency settings.

Sarah's research focus is on co-producing new ways of working within child protection, and to challenge the current technical frameworks to ultimately improve outcomes for children and young people. This work has supported developments in UK and International child protection relating to managing risk and safeguarding.
