  • Who's in the Room: Social Care Tech Co-Deisgn

Sarah is a senior and seasoned facilitator, developing and delivering conferences, workshops, and development days tailored to the needs of stakeholders across the digital safeguarding and the social care sector.

Whether it’s for strategy planning, policy development and explanation, or senior leadership vision days, Sarah can bring together social care and technology teams to harness the power of collaboration that repositions children and young people at the centre of co-design.

Sarah also plans and delivers ‘Safeguarding Digital Days’ for social care practitioners, key workers, residential support workers, foster carers, social workers, middle and senior managers, and technology partners. Safeguarding digital days enable the start of conversations and inform local policy developments.

The aim and purpose

The Who’s in the room process process enables all end users to have their needs met as part of an integrated approach, i.e., incorporating tech and care models. This means that all users engage in a cooperative inquiry design led approach together.

Everyone is treated equally as partner in the design process.

The sessions incorporate participatory design, and methods based on child-computer interaction. Consultancy is built on lived experience and rooted in the digitally native realities of children and young people today.

Evidenced based that the more children and young people are included in co-design, the greater the safety elements of technology are embedded in the design.
